SPECIFIC

 

MEASUREABLE

 

ACHIEVEABLE

 

REALISTIC

 

TIMELY

 

and use the PDCA cycle to move towards it:

 

PLAN

 

DO

 

CHECK

 

ACT

 

 

Once you have identified your target, remember the advice of Steven R Covey from the Seven Habits of Highly Effective People, “The main thing is to keep the main thing the main thing.” Select one thing at a time to work on and focus your resources towards strengthening that before moving to the next.
